Abigail (Abi) Westerfield started attending ballet classes when she was three years old at the Academy of Classical Ballet (ACB). Abi continued classes and performing with ACB until the age of eight in 2017 when the studio closed. Abi then took a break from dancing, focusing on choir and other extra-curricular activities. After hanging around classes when her Mom, Carissa, attended with Thrive Ballet, Abi decided that she wanted to start ballet again when she was nine years old in 2018. Abi’s Mom has been grateful and appreciative of the teaching style of Jill Oliver as it has been essential in assisting with Abi’s healthy emotional development. Abi states that what she likes most about being a part of Thrive Ballet is “the people and the style of the performances.”  Her favorite role in a Thrive performance was dancing as a “Zombie” in “Zombie Nutcracker.”  Abi is in her fifth season with Thrive Ballet.
