Quinn Oliver began her ballet training at the Academy of Colorado Ballet at the age of three. Quinn is a founding member of Thrive Ballet, where she trained under Jill Oliver from the age of eleven through high school. With Thrive Ballet Quinn performed roles including Clara, the Snow Queen, Arabian, and the Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker, as well as soloist parts in many of Jill Oliver’s original works. During this time she also danced with Davis Dance Next Generation and with Ballet5280.
After graduating high school, Quinn spent two seasons as a trainee at State Street Ballet in Santa Barbara, California from 2017-2019, where she had the opportunity to work with choreographers including Edgar Zendegas, Kevin Jenkins, and Autumn Eckman. Quinn then spent the 2019-2020 season as a trainee at Ballet Theatre of Maryland, before returning home to Thrive Ballet in 2020. Quinn is now in her tenth season with Thrive Ballet.
Offstage Quinn served as Assistant to the Director of Thrive Ballet from 2012 through 2017 and Repetiteur during the 2017 season, and returned to both of these roles in 2020. Quinn has also choreographed many solos and several group pieces during her time with Thrive Ballet.
Quinn began assistant teaching at Thrive Ballet in 2012, continuing through 2017. While in Santa Barbara from 2017-2019 Quinn joined the faculty of Momentum Dance Company where she taught ballet to dancers ages seven through thirteen. Currently Quinn teaches Kinesioplay and Level 1-Pre-professional ballet as well as tap with Thrive Ballet. Quinn is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and in Dance Mechanics, and is currently working toward her Pilates certification and certification in Revolutionary Principles of Movement.
