Kat Kalamaras, originally from the suburbs of Chicago, moved to Denver is order to pursue her career of dancing. Since then she’s had the chance to dance and perform with several companies including Kim Robards Modern Dance Company, Ethereum Modern Dance Company, Nosilla Modern Dance Company, and Dream Project Dance Company. 

Kat attended Alma college in Michigan on scholarship where she received her B.A in Dance Performance. Along with dancing she has a strong passion for teaching and has taught at several places and intensives over the Colorado, Illinois, and Michigan areas. Kat also attended American Dance Festivals summer intensive in the year of 2016 where she studied with renowned artists such as Nia Love, Paul Matteson, and Otto “aquaboogie”. She also got the chance in college to attend ADCA for 2 years and perform. She also choreographed her own full length show during her college career. 

This is her third season with Thrive ballet; additionally she is currently a company member of Evolving Doors Modern Dance Company and In the Wings Aerial Dance Company. She also has her own company Bl!nk Modern Dance company and business as back- up dancers for hire called “Bonnies on Tap”. She also currently models professionally and has a background in painting and art. Colorado has given Kat many opportunities and she couldn’t be more excited to see where her future goes next.
