Helene Luna says she is delighted to be working again with Jill and Thrive Ballet and is proud to be the oldest dancer in the company that is still able to fit her huge bunion into a pointe shoe. Helene's love for dance started in her hometown of Santa Fe, NM. As a young girl she was a member of the Ballet Folklorico De Santa Fe, this was Mexican Folk dancing, big skirts and heel stomping, and performed throughout the state.  She began her formal ballet training at the tender young age of 30, when a choreographer suggested ballet classes. Shocked by the fact that there were actual adult beginning ballet classes to be taken, Helene stepped into a lifelong passion of dancing ballet. Helene has appeared in numerous ballets with Academy of Classical Ballet of Denver as well as numerous dramatic and musical theatre productions throughout the country. Helene would like to thank her husband for all his love and support and her fellow dancers in the company who make class, rehearsal and performance a blast. Helene is in her fourth season with Thrive Ballet.
