Catherine McGuinness was born in Bristol, England and raised in California. She moved to Denver, Colorado in 2018. 

Catherine started dancing at the age of three, doing ballet, tap, and jazz. While studying for her degree in French and German at the University of Bristol, she branched out into ballroom, swing, and salsa. After a 10 year hiatus from ballet, she returned to dance with Thrive Ballet in 2022 and is still surprised to have gone back on pointe.

When she is not dancing, Catherine enjoys sewing, gardening, historical re-enactment and volunteering at her local cat shelter.

Catherine is in her first season with Thrive Ballet.
